God's Promise

In my devotional time with the Lord this morning I received a word from Him that really spoke to me. So many times, we go through life wondering where God is. We often times think that He has left us or that He does not hear us. Our thoughts are correct in that He is distant from us but not because He has left us but because we have distanced ourselves from Him. We are reminded in Hebrews 13:8 that “Jesus Christ is the same today, tomorrow and forever” we are the ones who change, wander off, and try to do things in and of our own strength. When this happens our faith becomes weak, we become emotionally and spiritually drained and want to give up and quit. We begin to give up on the promises God has made us. We begin to doubt God will restore marriages, bring healing, provide financial blessings, save family members and protect us from the fiery darts of the enemy, but these are all lies! God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20). Never stop believing for the promises God has given you! God gave me a word to share with you this morning. His promises to you will never go unfulfilled (Genesis 28:15) “I am with you and watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Rest in the secure confidence that God will never leave you and He welcomes you back, with open arms and unconditional love and acceptance no matter how far you have wandered. I personally rest in the promise God gave me years ago that “my sons will be taught by the Lord and great will be your children’s peace” (Isaiah 54:13) and I believe this for generations to come!
